There's a meteor shower tonight.

And I was invited to caravan to the desert behind school to watch it.
I'm not allowed to go.
It's too late.


There are lots of ways I can argue that it's silly to make me stay home and go to bed.
1. I'm wide awake.
2. I would only drive like, 1.7 miles to see the shower. That's not far. And there's nobody on the roads at this hour.
3. I have fluffy classes tomorrow.
4. Hello, I'm reading 2001 A Space Odyssey. I want to see some meteors!
5. I would meet new people. Well, I'd get to know classmates that I've never talked to.
6. It's cold. I like the cold. There are stars to be watched. I like watching stars.
7. You're still awake, why can't I BE AWAKE?!
8. Isn't this the "getting out" that you say I'd have fun doing?
9. That said, I would probably have fun.
10. I'd be home before 12:30. You won't even be asleep by then.
11. I don't need much sleep, anyways.
